Hi,
Just wondering what others thoughts are on "kiwi saver"? What advantages or disadvantages are there as employers?

Hi Geoff
As an employer I feel that this kiwi saver scheme is nothing but another cost put on us, at 1% the first year and moving up to 4% over the next 4 years, and who's to say what happens after that, I feel it will become more. For all these young Guys and Girls trying to get started in farming, I feel that there money would be better in there pockets and not tied up until they are 65 years old. No point having thousands of dollars tied up in a super scheme and not being able to follow your dreams. As for the minimum wages, who really wants to employ young people with no experience at that rate, when there are experienced ones at slighty high rate, its not giving the younger ones a fair go.
